FAQ
I provide individual therapy online that lasts 60 minutes, and by arrangement, we can meet in person in Rijeka.
I offer 60-minute individual therapy sessions online, giving you the opportunity for growth and development in your own comfort. Additionally, I am available for in-person sessions in Rijeka by arrangement, so we can meet directly and work on your goals.
The initial consultation also lasts 60 minutes and takes place online. It is a valuable opportunity for us to get to know each other – you can get to know me as a person and a therapist, ask any questions you may have, and share your therapeutic goals. On the other hand, I have the chance to understand your challenges and assess whether we are a compatible team for collaboration.
The price for an online or in-person therapy session is 60 euros per hour. I also offer more affordable packages:
– Package of 4 sessions: 220 euros,
– Package of 8 sessions: 450 euros.
All packages are paid in advance, and appointments are confirmed upon payment of the package or individual session. Please note that packages must be used within 12 weeks / 3 months from the date of payment. The cancellation deadline is 48 hours before the scheduled appointment; otherwise, the session will be counted as used. Refunds for paid packages are not possible.
I recommend a minimum of 5-10 sessions to achieve short-term goals, while for deeper therapeutic work in continuity, I recommend a minimum of 3-6 months. The duration of therapy depends on the goals we set together and your readiness for personal responsibility in implementing changes between our sessions. My approach includes tasks between sessions and additional support via phone calls or SMS as needed.
The simple answer is – yes, it can, and even more so! Based on extensive therapist experience, online therapy has proven to be highly successful across various client engagements, both short-term and long-term. These positive outcomes are also supported by numerous psychological studies. Scientists have found that online therapy and interventions used in digital environments have similar, if not better, effectiveness compared to face-to-face therapy. Additionally, clients receiving online therapy often emphasize a positive therapeutic relationship with their therapist, highlighting feeling just as connected and supported as in traditional sessions.
Absolutely! Just like with face-to-face therapy, safety and confidentiality are top priorities in online therapy. You can rest assured that all information shared during sessions remains strictly between you and your therapist. Your health records and all conversation topics are protected by law, ensuring your privacy. Remote communication between therapist and client is not a novelty; the Covid-19 pandemic has simply accelerated the need and popularity of this form of therapy, resulting in numerous platforms offering high-quality online mental health services.
Online therapy offers numerous advantages, with accessibility and flexibility being among the most important. In a busy and demanding world where packed schedules or responsibilities such as childcare leave little free time, the option to meet with your therapist online can be a lifesaver. It’s the only way to engage in therapy regardless of everything else. Moreover, for many people, the comfort and familiarity of their own home help them feel safer and more open to discussing sensitive topics.
Online therapy is also an ideal option for individuals living in rural areas, those with limited time for travel to a therapist, or those with physical disabilities or chronic illnesses that make leaving home difficult. It’s also great for frequent travelers, whether for business or pleasure, as you can continue therapy wherever you are.
Online therapy not only offers convenience and adaptability but also ensures security and confidentiality, making it an ideal choice for modern lifestyles.
Just as there are specialists in medical fields, there are specialists in psychotherapy. While all therapists are highly educated professionals, not all are equally qualified for every aspect of psychological challenges. Imagine going to a pulmonologist for a gynecological exam – inappropriate, right? The same principle applies to psychotherapy; specialization is key.
